Dr. David Sugarbaker is the founder of the International Mesothelioma Program (IMP). 

At the International Mesothelioma Program (IMP), located at Brigham and Women's Hospital, our multidisciplinary team works closely with each other to provide our patients with deep expertise in diagnosing and treating mesothelioma. Our physician-scientists are also on the forefront of researching and developing new and effective treatments for mesothelioma.

Having representatives from surgical oncology, medical oncology and radiation oncology involved in your care ensures that all feasible approaches to treatment will be considered, and that you will receive the combination of treatments that is best for you. In addition, your team also includes nurses, pain management experts, critical care physicians and patient support staff to help you and your family throughout all aspects of your treatment.
