Dana-Farber’s Concierge Program offers our patients in active treatment tickets to sporting events, shows, museums, and other attractions throughout the year through the Institute's Recreational Resources program.

Administered by Volunteer Services, the program is made possible by the generosity of Boston-area sports, cultural, and arts organizations, as well as individuals who donate tickets to upcoming events.

Among the most popular offerings are tickets to Boston Red Sox and Celtics games, orchestral music performances by the Handel + Haydn Society, and passes to the Museum of Fine Arts, Harvard Art Museums, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

"These tickets are a wonderful respite from the day-to-day stress of treatment for our patients and their loved ones” says Program Coordinator Cate Wilson. "We are tremendously grateful for the generous donations that allow us to offer this program to our patient community.”

"Attending an event, going to a museum, or seeing and hearing live music gives patients a unique gift – a lasting memory of a joyful shared experience. We have received so many messages of thanks from folks that treasure these special days with their loved ones.”

Except for Red Sox tickets allocated through a monthly drawing, all tickets and passes are available to patients in active treatment on a first-come-first-served basis. Please visit the Concierge Desk, located in the Shapiro Center for Patients and Families on the 1st floor of the Yawkey Building at 450 Brookline Avenue.

Red Sox tickets to many home games throughout the regular season are allocated through a once-a-month drawing. Two sets of four tickets are allocated for each game. Entry forms for the monthly Red Sox ticket drawing are at the Concierge Desk.

Patients and family members are invited to stop by the office periodically to inquire about other available tickets. Unfortunately, we cannot give out or hold tickets via email or over the phone.

"We're always looking to increase the number and variety of passes and tickets that we can offer," Wilson says. "Community organizations and individuals are welcome to contact us if they'd like to participate in the program."

If you are interested in donating event tickets or passes to the program, please email volunteerservices@dfci.harvard.edu.
