    Application Process for External Applicants

    Applying online is the most efficient and effective way to have your resume reviewed by the staffing team.

    We highly recommend that applicants use Internet Explorer 8 or higher. Upon completing your application, you must first press the Save button, then press the Submit button to complete the application process.

    Due to the various technologies that may be used, for your convenience there is a computer kiosk available for this purpose in the Department of Human Resources, located at 440 Brookline Avenue, Boston, if you have difficulties completing the application. Please refer to maps and directions.

    The Process

    The Process

    Resumes are reviewed by the staffing team. If your skills meet the criteria for the position to which you have applied, you will be contacted by a recruiter within five business days.

    Please keep in mind that to be eligible for a transfer, the following criteria must be met:

    1. You must have completed one year of continuous employment in your current position.
    2. You must be meeting all performance expectations in your current position.
    3. You have not received any form of corrective action within the past six months.
    4. Once you have transferred, you are not eligible to transfer again until you have been in the position for one year.
