Jay Harris, MD, radiation oncologist at the Susan F. Smith Center for Women's Cancers at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, wrote the first paper suggesting that having breast cancer patients hold a deep breath while receiving radiation therapy could greatly reduce the amount of radiation reaching the heart.
