Apricot-Orange Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 15-ounce can of chunky apricots in light syrup
  • 6 ounces vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed

Directions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend for about 5 to 8 seconds until smooth.
  3. Pour into tall cups.

Yield:

2 servings

Nutrition Tip

Flaxseed is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids and may also help control blood pressure, improve blood flow throughout the body, increase the body's immune response, lower LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides (blood fats), and reduce blood clotting.
