Heidi Fink
Heidi Fink is a hard-working and dedicated mother of two with
significant experience in various volunteer programs and charitable
organizations. Dana-Farber is especially intriguing to her given
its commitment to the research and treatment of cancer for women
and children. She feels that her past experiences would result in
her being a strong compliment to the Dana-Farber Friends
organization.
During her tenure as a volunteer for approximately four years at
Children's Hospital she provided "hands-on" support and assistance
to patients. That experience resulted in her joining the Children's
Hospital League for an additional four years, two of which she
served on the Board where she helped plan and coordinate many fund
raising and child serving events. She has also been actively
involved with the Food for Thought program helping to feed hungry
children. She additionally worked for two years at Faulkner
Hospital for the Sagoff Breast Cancer Center. Other volunteer
programs in which she has taken part include Jewish Family
Services, Big Brother, and various events for the Beth Israel
Deaconess Hospital. More recently she assisted Friends board
members Audra Lank and Dana Gerson with the Friends' Chefs Cooking
for Hope and Saks "Key to the Cure" event.
As an active member of Temple Beth Avodah in Newton she
participated in many volunteer programs and boards for over seven
years. She served as Vice President of the Sisterhood for three
years and as Co-President for two years. Her responsibilities
included the organization of many fundraisers, dinners and other
events.
Heidi says "I am excited about the opportunity of being involved
with the Dana Farber Friends organization and am confident that my
work ethic and past experience will result in my being an asset to
this organization."
