Friends' Board and Bios
Nicole Hirsch
Nicole Hirsch was born in Boston and grew up in Wellesley,
Massachusetts. She graduated from Wellesley High School in 1998 and
Tulane University in 2002. With her husband, Jared Hirsch, she
enjoys travel and golf and spends time with her niece and two
nephews.
The first six years of her career were spent at Reebok
International, where she was the Senior Marketing Manager for their
women's lifestyle footwear line. Nicole is currently with Hasbro
toys as their Senior Brand Manager for the G.I. Joe property. Their
first major motion picture, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, will be
coming out in 2009. Most of her marketing efforts are dedicated to
the film.
Nicole says: "I have just very recently become involved with
Dana-Farber through several family acquaintances who connected me
with the amazing group who create and pass out gift bags for the
patients. That was my first experience with Dana-Farber. My
mother's best friend passed away about three years ago from cancer.
Since then I have been looking for the right venue to get involved
with cancer-related fundraising and research. Not only in her
memory, but also to help future generations beat this horrible
disease.
"I just hope to do my part to support Dana Farber and all of its
amazing contributions to fighting cancer. I just wanted to thank
everyone that currently sits on the Friends' Board for allowing me
to be part of such an amazing group. I can already tell from
speaking with so many dedicated and warm people that being a part
of the Friends of Dana Farber is a rewarding opportunity and I look
forward in the years to come helping in anyway that I can! I feel
very lucky to be part of such a wonderful organization."
