Nikki Lank Bialow
Nikki is an enthusiastic member of the Friends of Dana-Farber
who co-chaired the silent auction for the Great Chefs Cooking for
Hope event, as well as the 2007 Gala Tribute Book. Together with
her husband, Corey Bialow, founder and chief executive officer of
Bialow Real Estate in Newton, and their two children, she devotes
time and energy helping with holiday decorating and giving gifts to
The Jimmy Fund Clinic Playroom.
Nikki and Corey are active members of the King Solomon Society
of Combined Jewish Philanthropies and Nikki is on the event
committees for the Children's Hospital League and the Beth Israel
Deaconess Medical Center of Needham. In addition, she takes an
active role in the parents' association at the Beginnings School in
Weston, where her son and daughter are enrolled.
While living in New York, she served several years on the
Advisory Board of Sloane Women's Hospital, a division of New York
Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. She was instrumental in organizing
events for the fundraising campaign which helped establish the
Thain Center of Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Having two young children, Nikki chose to take a break from the
business world and is fully dedicating her time to philanthropic
causes. Her family has a long history of philanthropy and their
charitable trust has helped to support the major hospitals in the
Greater Boston area by establishing the Lank Center for
Genitourinary Cancer Research and the Lank Radiology Department at
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Lank Center for Radiation
Oncology at Beth Israel Hospital, the Lank Center for Thoracic
Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Lank Family Comfort
Room at Children's Hospital.
Nikki says, "Corey and I have personal reasons for becoming
active in philanthropic causes stemming from the examples set by
our parents and grandparents, as well as having witnessed too many
friends and family members who have been stricken with tragic
illnesses. We have used these life experiences as motivation to get
involved and feel it is our obligation to give back to society as a
way of showing our appreciation for having been blessed with two
beautiful, healthy young children and a loving extended
family."
