Richard Krock earned both his undergraduate degree in metallurgy in 1959 and his PhD in materials science and engineering in 1962 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Krock is the author of 10 books dealing with metals and metals processing. He is the holder of 60 U.S. patents in powder metallurgy. Among the many honors bestowed upon him, Krock received awards from the Owens Corning Foundation, the Foundry Education Foundation, and the American Society for Testing and Materials for Academic Research and Teaching.
Krock is a member of the Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi, and Phi Lamda Upsilon scholastic and scientific honorary societies. Krock has served as chairman of the Investment Committee, a member of the Board of Directors, and member of the Executive Committee at the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. From 2001-2008, Krock was chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Public Safety Retirement System for the Town of Palm Beach, Fla.
