Sheila Palandjian has dedicated herself to a spectrum of non-profits spanning education, healthcare, and international causes. Currently, she focuses her efforts on Dana-Farber and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Massachusetts.
As a resident of Belmont, Mass. and Palm Beach, Fla., she has enjoyed chairing and organizing events for Dana-Farber and the Brigham that reach out to the Palm Beach community. Having lost her husband to gastric cancer in 1996, Palandjian sponsors an annual Palandjian Lectureship, inviting a visiting professor to lecture at DFCI on new developments in gastrointestinal oncology. She is a member of Dana-Farber's visiting committee for the GI Cancer Center.
Palandjian is the proud grandmother to ten children and enjoys her involvement in their busy lives. She also takes particular pride in her three sons' six Harvard degrees. Her hobbies include tennis, golf, travel, cooking, and gardening. She is bilingual, speaking both English and Armenian.
