Dana-Farber New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology names Dr. Jeanna Walsh as new medical director

Posted date

Jeanna Walsh, MD, has been named medical director of Dana-Farber/New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology (Dana-Farber/NHOH). Walsh has provided exceptional cancer care to patients in Londonderry since the facility opened in 2008. Her new appointment is effective November 15, 2013.

“I am honored and excited to take over the directorship of Dana-Farber’s Londonderry satellite,” said Walsh. “The clinic has developed into a key center of oncology care in southern New Hampshire. I hope to continue these traditions of high quality cancer care and work to enhance the excellent programs that support our patients, their families, and the broader community.”

Walsh will succeed Frederick M. Briccetti, MD, who has led Dana-Farber/NHOH since its opening five years ago. Dr. Briccetti will continue to see patients in Londonderry and will be actively involved in the clinical trial program.

“It has been my privilege to serve as medical director,” said Briccetti. “I am proud of how the collaboration between Dana-Farber and NHOH has enhanced the cancer care we are able to provide in southern New Hampshire.”

Dana-Farber/New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology has allowed patients access to the latest medical oncology treatment and an array of support services, including genetic screening and counseling, nutrition counseling, a resource area for patients and families, and pastoral care. Laboratory and diagnostic services are also conveniently located at the facility.

“Dr. Walsh is known for her commitment to quality patient care, operational excellence and forward-thinking stewardship,” said Andrew Norden, MD, MPH, medical director of Satellites and Network Affiliates at Dana-Farber. “She is an excellent choice to strengthen our clinical care and partnerships at our Londonderry center.”
