Heading up into the hills
I had the morning off today, which has allowed me to recover from yesterday's taxing ride. Today, the Tour will travel through a corner of Oklahoma and into Arkansas. It appears our evening ride will take us up into the Ozarks. Those who have cycled with me know that my overall cycling skills would be rated about C-minus. My climbing skills, however, are my strength, so I'm looking forward to tonight.
It's been a remarkable experience so far. I wish, however, that I'd have more of a chance to see the country. Instead, I find myself concentrating too much on keeping pace and trying to avoid collisions with my teammates. Perhaps in the future, I'll try this ride again when I have the time to really appreciate the country.
