Dana-Farber launches new Web site design
Four years after introducing a Web site that has won more than a handful of prestigious awards, Dana-Farber has launched a complete redesign of its Web site that will offer visitors a quicker, more efficient way to learn about Dana-Farber and its services.
The new site provides the following benefits:
- Wider pages and a more modern design;
- Increased accessibility for visitors, including those with disabilities, who use adaptive technologies such as screen readers;
- Seamless compatibility with a variety of hand-held devices, including cell phones and PDAs;
- Optimized pages that take less time to download, allowing visitors, even those on dial-up, to move much more quickly throughout the site; and
- A platform that will allow us to easily integrate the latest Web technologies into our site as they emerge.
To coordinate with the new Web site design, the Dana-Farber Monthly E-mail Newsletter has a new layout. The newsletter includes research, clinical and fundraising stories, as well as a monthly health quiz, recipe, and nutrition tip.
We encourage users of the Dana-Farber site to share their thoughts about this new design. To do so, please e-mail Dana-FarberContactUs@dfci. harvard.edu.
