Stanley J. Korsmeyer, MD, a scientific leader at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, will be remembered at the Institute as much for his sunny, upbeat disposition and for the way he selflessly helped guide the careers of those who worked for him as he will for his landmark discoveries in the field of cancer research. Dr. Korsmeyer, a non-smoker, died on March 31, 2005, of lung cancer.
