Inside the Institute – Special Edition

-
Celebrating progress, staying the course
Dana-Farber set a goal in 2003 of being the preeminent organization for bringing the benefits of science to cancer patients and their families, and of conquering at least one major form of cancer within a decade. The Institute's Strategic Plan is a roadmap of how we intend to get there.
-
Dana-Farber's Strategic Plan: A Progress Report
Over the past several months, leaders from throughout the Institute have reviewed the 2003 Strategic Plan to determine if its basic principles are still pertinent, its goals are still reasonable, and its action items are still on track.
-
Taking the next steps
As Dana-Farber looks ahead to 2010, it wants to be the "go-to" place for cancer patients, researchers, clinicians, donors, and pharmaceutical and biotech industry scientists seeking research partners.
-
Accomplishments show effectiveness of Strategic Plan
Expanding collaboration — both within Dana-Farber and with outside organizations. Working to make cancer treatments more specialized to fit the individual needs of each patient. Increasing the number of clinical trials open to patients and widening participation in them.
