A New Program to Help Adults with Cancer Manage Stress

  • We know that people diagnosed with cancer feel a great deal of stress. From Cancer to Health, a research-tested program for recently diagnosed cancer patients, can help.

     

    In this 8- session program, you will learn:

    •Strategies to help manage stres
    •Ways to lessen the imapct of the physical symptoms of cancer
    •Skills to cope with common problems faced by people with cancer
    Recently published studies of From Cancer to Health showed improvements in participants' emotional, social, and physical well- being.

“Coping mechanisms for young adults undergoing cancer treatment” Twitter Chat

  • The Young Adult Program at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center (@DanaFarberYAP) is hosting a series of Twitter chats (#YAPchat) to address the challenges facing young adults with cancer and the strategies they can use to cope. The chats will feature expert Karen Fasciano, PsyD, director of the Young Adult Program.

In this class, you will learn to stretch and strengthen your mind and body.  

Come relax, loosen and strengthen tired muscles, improve circulation, develop symmetry and balance and fine tune your mind/body skills.  

Program instructor, Ramel (Rami) Rones is on the leading edge of Mind-Body, Tai Chi and Qi Gong therapies for patients with cancer, fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic pain and other chronic conditions. He is an internationally known teacher, speaker and author of the best-selling Sunrise and Sunset Tai Chi books and DVDs.
