Located on the first floor of Dana-Farber's Yawkey Center, the Blum Resource Center provides patients and family members with a comfortable environment to learn more about disease treatment and management. The center's staff and volunteers can help you find answers to health-related questions, and can guide you through Dana-Farber's programs and services.
At the Blum Resource Center, you can find information on specific diseases ranging from common cancers to rare blood disorders. Resource pamphlets, teaching sheets, and books are offered in English and other languages, and provide detailed information on variety of topics including:
- Bone marrow transplants
- Cancer in the family; explaining cancer to children
- Caregiver resources
- Chemotherapy, radiation surgery, and targeted therapy

Digital Art Display
We often receive requests to publicly display artwork created by our patients and families. You can submit your original artwork to be considered for Dana-Farber's Digital Art Display, presented on a large video screen at the Blum Center. To have your artwork considered for display, please
complete this application and submit it along with a high-resolution digital photograph of the art.
Our Programs and Workshops
Lunch-and-Learn Integrative Therapies Educational Series: Learn a variety of strategies to manage stress and develop resilience through movement, nutrition, expressive arts, and meditation. Participants are invited to bring their own lunch.
Writing Towards Wellness: Led by author Claire Willis, you will learn writing techniques to jump-start your journals, memoir writing, and written legacies for friends and family.
Creative Expression Workshop: The
MyMoments program promotes emotional resilience through imagery creation, using a free app you can download to your iPhone or iPad. iPads are available to borrow. You will receive your images in a complimentary personalized book.
Spirituality and Cancer: Led by a Dana-Farber chaplain, this group series addresses the important role of spirituality in coping with cancer.
Fighting Cancer with Your Fork: An informative nutrition group led by a certified Dana-Farber nutritionist.
