The Dana-Farber Leadership Council (DFLC) is a new generation of business and community leaders whose mission is to advance Dana-Farber's lifesaving work in research and patient care through financial support, advocacy, and leadership.
Founded in 1999, the Leadership Council currently raises money in support of the Dana-Farber Leadership Council Annual Fund, used to support cancer research and patient care.
Make a gift to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Leadership Council
The Dana-Farber Leadership Council is the most important and fulfilling philanthropy in which we are involved. Many of us have been touched by cancer in some way, be it through a personal experience, with a family member, a colleague or a friend.
The work we do through the Leadership Council directly helps the fight against cancer by raising money for and increasing awareness of the lifesaving work going on at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
The Council offers unprecedented access to some of the world's leading doctors and researchers, provides an incredible forum for learning about strides being made against cancer, and brings together a superb group of professionals throughout the Greater Boston business community.
Currently, the Dana-Farber Leadership Council has more than 130 members who represent a variety of business and personal resources throughout the Boston area.
We are passionate about the Leadership Council and Dana-Farber. We are more than happy to talk to you about the Council and why we are involved. Please contact us with any questions.

Chairs: Larry Fahey and J.W. Craig
Chaired by Larry Fahey and J.W. Craig, the Leadership Council Annual Giving Committee is devoted to increasing annual support for Dana-Farber and to developing the next generation of philanthropists. Its mission is to advance Dana-Farber’s lifesaving work in research and patient care through financial support.
All Leadership Council members are required to make a gift to the Leadership Council Annual Fund. This fund supports initiatives and programs designated as a priority by Dana-Farber's President & CEO. These critical funds make an enormous impact in the lives of Dana-Farber’s patients and families. The suggested contribution amount is $1,000, and a gift of $1,500 or more qualifies you for the President’s Circle, Dana-Farber’s leadership giving society. One hundred percent Leadership Council participation will allow us to reach, and hopefully exceed, our fiscal year 2017 Annual Giving goal.
The Committee develops solicitation strategies and Annual Fund appeals, hosts fundraising and social events, and collaborates with Dana-Farber’s Development staff to create targeted direct mail and email campaigns.

Favorite Boston restaurant: I enjoy everything! My wife and daughter love the Grotto & L’Espalier. Sweet Basil is great in the burbs.
If I am not working I am most likely: With family, fixing and building things, reading, watching the Red Sox and Patriots
I joined DFLC because: I have experienced the tragedy of cancer in family and wish to help in any way I can to prevent or help those afflicted with cancer.
