Amye Kurson-Collins was raised in Brookline, Massachusetts. Her family, including her two brothers, resides in the Boston area. She attended Beaver Country Day School and then went to Union College, graduating with a degree in psychology. After college, Amye moved to New York to pursue a career in advertising. She was a media buyer at J. Walter Thompson for several years before returning to Boston, where she became Director of National Broadcast Media at Mullen Advertising.

While at Mullen, Amye, who is an avid golfer, recognized a void in women's golf accessories. That is what convinced her to forgo her advertising career to form her own company for women's active clothing. Based in Brookline, 'Ame & Lulu' has found a very stable niche in the sporting goods market since its inception in 2003 and has expanded into a more complete line of fashionable accessories for an active life style.

Amye has been involved with the Big Sister Foundation of Greater Boston, where she co-chaired the Celebrity Chef event for two years. Looking to expand her community involvement, and with much positive input from family and friends, Amye became a member of the Friends of Dana-Farber. She enthusiastically looks forward to her involvement with the Friends and in sharing her expertise and energy in upcoming projects.
