About Us
When you donate platelets at the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center, you help patients treated here in our community. Every donation is used for patients cared for at DFCI or BWH. Donating platelets saves lives.

After a donor's third platelet donation at the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center, the donor's blood is HLA-tissue-typed. The donor is invited to join the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) at Dana-Farber. The typical fee to join the registry is waived.
