A performance by the Boston Children's Choir was just one of the surprises that awaited attendees at La Petite Surprise, a May benefit for Friends of Dana-Farber. No one knew what would go on because this night's happenings were kept secret until the event.

Co-chaired by Sinesia and Bill Karol (Dana-Farber trustee) and Audrey and Mark Schuster, event highlights included the choir, talks from Dana-Farber President Edward J. Benz Jr., MD, and Friends of Dana-Farber Co-President Cristina Peters, who spoke of her experience as a Hodgkin lymphoma survivor.

Drawings were held every half-hour for items, keeping the excitement level high at the Four Seasons Boston. Winners received a range of surprises, including tickets to see Billy Joel/Elton John – with dinner and transportation to the concert included – and a trip to the Bordeaux region of France.

The grand finale showcased the singing talent of Boston's own Ayla Brown from American Idol.

It was a bonne nuit ("good night") for everyone, with more than $320,000 raised for cancer research and care at Dana-Farber.
