The Friends Networking Event

The Friends of Dana-Farber hosted this free, first of its kind social networking event on Wednesday, October 7, from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the Foundation Room at the House of Blues. This event was geared to encourage the young set (ages 25-45) to become members and learn about the Friends' ongoing mission in a fun and social setting.
The evening included food from Anna's Taqueria as well as complimentary drinks, music and fun prizes. The Friends were also thrilled to include guest Jothy Rosenberg, an above-the-knee amputee who lost his leg and partial lung at the age of 16 to osteosarcoma. Jothy is a seven-time rider of the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge, author of the book Who Says I Can't, owner of several hi-tech companies, and a man whose story of self-resiliency, courage and strength was an inspiration to hear.
