Leadership Council Walk Committee
The Leadership Council Walk Committee is charged with developing and directing the Council's participation in the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk. The Committee is comprised of team captains and Council members who are interested in being involved with the Council's Walk effort.
The Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk is the Jimmy Fund's largest participant event, with nearly 7,500 walkers in 2008. The event has raised more than $60 million since its inception in 1989. The Walk is the only event, other than the Boston Marathon itself, sanctioned by the Boston Athletic Association and authorized to travel along the famed 26.2-mile route from Hopkinton to Boston.
This year's Walk is Sunday September 13, 2009.
