Since joining the Zakim Center as a licensed massage therapist in February 2002, Bambi Mathay's practice has quickly expanded. "The number one reason patients seek massage therapy is for stress reduction," says Mathay. "Massage therapy looks at the totality of the patient, including mind and spirit. Patients often tell me that it makes them feel whole and reconnected to their body."
Mathay finds working with patients at the Zakim Center deeply rewarding. "The spirit of people living with cancer invigorates me. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a partner with patients in the healing process."
