Survivorship Research
Office of Research
The Office of Research was established in 2005 to advance the research agenda of The Perini Family Survivors' Center (PFSC). The Center is dedicated to improving quality-of-life after cancer through research on treatment of late-effects and dissemination of information on the challenges facing today's growing population of cancer survivors.
The PFSC Office of Research initiates new research focusing on survivorship issues, supports cross-disease center survivorship research, and serves as a centralized resource for survivor research at Dana-Farber. By coordinating research with PFSC clinical activities, the Center strives to connect current research issues and outcomes with day-to-day challenges faced by survivors.
In addition to conducting and coordinating research efforts on survivorship issues, the Office of Research maintains research resources for investigators, distributes a monthly e-bulletin on survivorship research, and sponsors visiting scholars in survivorship and monthly research presentations.
