    The Center for Molecular Oncologic Pathology (CMOP) advances molecular pathology-based cancer research. CMOP addresses significant scientific and clinical research needs, and has created a central hub where researchers can interact, collaborate, and utilize novel molecular pathology technologies to translate basic science discoveries into patient care applications for cancer. Our mission comprises comprehensive pathology annotation to encompass clinical, morphological, and molecular characteristics, genetic discovery in primary human tumors, with limited material and in real time, novel biomarker identification and pre-clinical trials and transitioning CMOP-developed assays to the clinical setting.

    The Center for Molecular Oncologic Pathology stands at the forefront of translational cancer research, thanks to a unique environment that enables researchers to develop cutting-edge molecular pathology technologies. Our sophisticated instruments for tissue-based research facilitate innovation in the areas of histopathology, molecular biology, tissue microarray, imaging, comparative pathology, and more.

    More importantly, the Center is a place where basic, translational, and clinical investigators across multiple disease areas can interact and collaborate on projects that advance their pathology-based research. The Center is eager to facilitate your research and play an integral part in translating basic science discoveries into applications for clinical care.
