  • Why I Work Here

"I wanted a more personally fulfilling career and found my calling in healthcare philanthropy. My father died of a rare bile duct cancer called cholangiocarcinoma when I was 16 years old. Now I fundraise for gastrointestinal cancer research, including the bile duct cancer that took my father’s life. This experience is one of many motivators for the fulfilling work I do at Dana-Farber." Staff member since 2015

"I have watched close family members and friends win and lose their fights against cancer. I am proud to work for a world class research institute in service of a goal that will help save the lives of the people I love. My work has purpose." Staff member since 2008

"I lost my dad to lung cancer when I was 23. Because of that, I have spent the majority of my career in healthcare fundraising. Supporting our mission and doing my part to try to end this awful disease is profoundly important to me. And I am very proud to work with this exceptionally talented team of fundraising professionals."
    Staff member since 2004
