Dr. Alison Laws is a breast surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital and Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center. Dr. Laws received her medical degree from McMaster University and completed a general surgery residency at the University of Calgary in Canada. Dr. Laws then completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/BWH/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Public Health in Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Laws' clinical practice includes caring for patients with breast cancer and benign breast problems through the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center and BWH's Comprehensive Breast Health Center. She also counsels and manages women at high-risk for breast cancer through the BWH B-PREP program. Dr. Laws' research interests include improving outcomes in patients with breast cancer, as well as optimizing how we deliver evidence-based care. She is also interested in improving how we identify and manage women at high-risk for breast cancer.
