Bio

Dr. Burgers is a pediatric psychologist who specializes in promoting coping with illness and other psychosocial stressors. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and received her PhD from Temple University. Dr. Burgers completed her pre-doctoral internship at Children's Hospital Colorado specializing in Pediatric Health. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders specializing in providing psychosocial support to patients and families within Pediatric Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Burgers' research interests include risk and resilience among youth impacted by medical conditions.
