Hibah Osman, MD, MPH

Dr. Osman’s work is focused on palliative care advocacy and program development in low- and middle-income countries. Before she joined the faculty at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, she founded Balsam – the Lebanese Center for Palliative Care an NGO that provides home-based palliative care and established the Palliative and Supportive Care Program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. 

She is a faculty affiliate in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at HMS and is part of the core team involved in building the departments Program in Global Palliative Care. Her clinical and research interests are in the impact of culture and context on the healthcare experience.
