Michael Cassidy, MD

Dr. Michael Cassidy is a fellowship-trained, board-certified surgical oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He has particular interest in the care of patients with breast cancer and sarcoma. Dr. Cassidy earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Boston University. He completed residency training in surgery at Boston University Medical Center. He was a fellow in Complex Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. As a surgeon, educator, and active clinical researcher, Dr. Cassidy has led the development of integrated, high-impact clinical programs; implemented practice-changing perioperative and surgical innovations adopted nationally and internationally; and maintains an active portfolio of scholarship, education, and national service. He is deeply committed to patient-centered, equitable care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and mentorship of trainees at all levels.
