Dr. van Dams specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers as well as MRI-guided radiation treatment for multiple types of cancers.  His research focuses on the advancement of gastrointestinal stereotactic body radiation therapy, adaptive radiation therapy and clinical trials.  He received his AB from Harvard College and his Master of Health Science and Medical Degrees from Yale University School of Medicine.  He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
