Biography

Svitlana Tyekucheva, PhD

Svitlana Tyekucheva is trained in statistics and its applications to genomics. She collaborates with Dr. Giovanni Parmigiani’s laboratory, which investigates statistical methods for the analysis of high-throughput genomic data including next-generation sequencing, of cross-study validation, and of cross-technology integration. Her research interests lie in developing new, and tailoring existing, statistical methods to efficiently process and analyze high-dimensional genomic data, including next-generation sequencing, gene expression profiling and metabolomics, to integrate diverse genomic data types using genes sets, and to normalize gene expression data across different studies.Dr. Tyekucheva is co-director of the DF/HCC SPORE in Prostate Cancer Biostatistics and Computational Biology Core, collaborating since 2011 with the DF/HCC Prostate Cancer SPORE. She is a member of the international Transdisciplinary Prostate Cancer Partnership (ToPCap) and of the International Breast Cancer Study Group (IBCSG) Stat Center.
