Bio

Svitlana Tyekucheva is trained in statistics and its applications to genomics. She collaborates with Dr. Giovanni Parmigiani’s laboratory, which investigates statistical methods for the analysis of high-throughput genomic data including next-generation sequencing, of cross-study validation, and of cross-technology integration. Her research interests lie in developing new, and tailoring existing, statistical methods to efficiently process and analyze high-dimensional genomic data, including next-generation sequencing, gene expression profiling and metabolomics, to integrate diverse genomic data types using genes sets, and to normalize gene expression data across different studies.

Dr. Tyekucheva is co-director of the DF/HCC SPORE in Prostate Cancer Biostatistics and Computational Biology Core, collaborating since 2011 with the DF/HCC Prostate Cancer SPORE. She is a member of the international Transdisciplinary Prostate Cancer Partnership (ToPCap) and of the International Breast Cancer Study Group (IBCSG) Stat Center.
