Dr. Acharya received his medical degree from Ohio University and completed his internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology fellowship at The Ohio State University and University of Arizona, respectively. Prior to joining Dana-Farber, Dr. Acharya was core cellular immunotherapy faculty at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and attending physician at the SCCA Bezos Family Immunotherapy Clinic/University of Washington where he collaborated on numerous "first in class" cellular immunotherapy trials including CAR T, TCR, and TILs in multiple tumor types. His clinical expertise is in CAR T-cell therapy and research interests focus on expanding and optimizing the utility of adoptive cellular transfer across liquid and solid tumors.
