Zachary Sager, MD

Zachary Sager, MD is an instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and attending palliative medicine physician at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.  Prior to completing palliative medicine fellowship, he trained as a psychiatrist at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY.  His clinical expertise focuses on the care of seriously ill individuals with comorbid psychiatric conditions, particularly at the intersection of pain, substance use and psychological trauma at end of life. Dr. Sager's research focuses on the development of novel interventions for seriously ill individuals experiencing psychological distress, particularly the development of psychedelic assisted therapies.
