You may request a live medical interpreter for a discussion about your care.
We will provide a chaperone for you or your provider if you request one to be there during a physical examination or diagnostic procedure. A chaperone is someone who acts as a witness for a patient and a clinician. They are available for when a patient would otherwise be with a single provider.
Qualified chaperones include members of the Dana-Farber's clinical workforce, including physicians, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, clinic assistants, and imaging technologists. While family members and non-clinical staff may be present during physical examinations, they cannot serve as chaperones.
