Translating Theory Into Action
The Clinical Process Improvement Leadership Program (CPIP) helps senior leaders, middle managers, and front-line health professionals develop skills to lead and participate in clinical process improvement projects such as care redesign, reducing readmissions,
developing better transitions in care, treating medically complex patients, improving patient access, and offering palliative care.
Since it began in 2008, CPIP has trained more than 300 clinicians.
After completing this program, participants understand process analysis, rapid cycle improvement, and managing teams. The program features diverse teaching methods, including expert panels, case examples, simulation exercises, and small group sessions.
Participants join interdisciplinary teams charged with addressing a clinical problem in their environment and applying improvement techniques to solve the problem.
