Michele and Howard Kessler
Michele Kessler is the Director of Community Relations at The Kessler Group and Co-founder and Director of the Kessler Family Foundation. She is a member of the Women’s Health Leadership Forum at Brigham and Women’s Hospital as well as a member of the President’s Advisory Council. She is the Co-chair of Massachusetts General Hospital’s Leadership Council for Psychiatry and the Global Ambassador of the Measles Initiative for the American Red Cross.
Kessler is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Town of Palm Beach United Way and the Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society. She also serves on the boards of the William J. Clinton Foundation, the American Ireland Fund, the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach, the Executive Committee of the Palm Beach Civic Association, the American Cancer Society of Palm Beach, the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies, the Ayenda Foundation, WXEL-TV PBS, and the Global Health Advisory Council at Harvard Medical School. She is currently the Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In 2012, Kessler received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, the American Red Cross’ Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Palm Tree Award from the Palm Beach Police Foundation for community service. In 2009, she was honored with the Leadership Award by the Chief of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, the American Red Cross International Leadership Award, and the American Ireland Fund Humanitarian Award. In 2007, she received the Women of Distinction Award from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Michele has been a member of Dana-Farber’s Board of Trustees since 2000.
