Upon retiring as a lecturer in marketing from Northeastern University in 1992, Vicki Loring dedicated herself full time to the Committee to End Elder Homelessness and its mission to eradicate homelessness for older adults in the U.S. In 1998, Loring moved to Palm Beach, Fla., where she has worked hard for the annual Discovery Celebration for Dana-Farber. For the past three years, Loring has co-chaired and helped underwrite the Breakfast with the Doctors symposium, which educates contributors and the community on breakthroughs in clinical care and research in cancer at Dana-Farber.
Loring is on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, where she is the chairwoman of Jewish Hunger Response. She gives her time to the Jewish Women’s Foundation, Women’s Auxiliary of the Morse Geriatric Center, where she twice chaired their annual gala, and the Board of the Palm Beach Community Chest, where she serves on the Allocation Committee. Loring has also served on the Board of Alpert Jewish Family and Children’s Services.
