Jamie Monovoukas is an independent film and television producer, with a B.S. degree in Mass Communications and an M.S. degree in Film Production, both from Boston University's College of Communications. Jamie was formerly at WGBH and worked with Michael Kirk producing public service documentaries for FRONTLINE. She founded MYTHOS to develop and produce independent films and served as its CEO for over 10 years. Jamie has also served on the board of Paris Films LLC, an IMAX Film Production Company, and is currently serving on the board of the Demetra Fund for Breast Cancer Research and Patient Assistance at Dana-Farber, founded by the Hellenic Women's Club, EOK.

Jamie has worked for Oldways Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting public health by preserving the food, wine, and culture of countries and regions that produce organic food. While at Oldways, Jamie worked with Board member Julia Child and Founder K. Dun Gifford to organize the first Oldways International Food and Wine Symposium, in Greece. She worked closely with Symposium sponsors that included the World Health Organization, Harvard School of Public Health, the Government of Greece, and the International Olive Oil Council. The Symposium was the first to present the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet.

Jamie was a member of the MIT Daedalus project that designed, built, and flew a human-powered airplane. The plane flew in April 1988, establishing four world records in human-powered flight. The Daedalus team won the prestigious Kremer Prize for human-powered flight from the Royal Aeronautical Society. The Daedalus plane now hangs in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and still holds all four world records. Jamie represented and managed the Daedalus project in Greece, raising government and public support, obtaining financing, and generating international publicity; she was awarded the Medal of Honor from the Hellenic Air Force.

Jamie currently serves on the Phillips Exeter Academy (Exeter) Parent Committee. She co-founded the Monovoukas Family Fund for Innovation and Design at Exeter to foster extensive and systematic curricular opportunities for students to pursue their individual passions. Jamie also co-founded the Yiannis and Jamie Monovoukas BioMedX Fund to award grants to researchers endeavoring to commercialize novel research through the Columbia Biomedical Technology Accelerator program.

Jamie is married to Dr. Yiannis Monovoukas and has three sons, Alexi, Christian, and Ari.
