Giving Societies

  • Show your commitment to our lifesaving mission by joining one of our giving societies. Whether through one-time or ongoing commitments, these groups of generous donors provide sustained support for Dana-Farber to remain a pioneer and leader in cancer science and medicine.


  • Breakthrough Society is a core group of committed donors who make annual gifts of $250 to $1,499.  Collectively, the society provides more than $3.5 million annually, making each member a potent ally in the fight against cancer.
  • Dana-Farber President's Circle is a giving society of steadfast supporters who make annual gifts of $1,500 or more. By making a yearly commitment at this level, you lead by example, help save lives, and shape Dana-Farber's future.
  • Dana-Farber Society honors those who have left a legacy to the Institute. This ongoing support allows the Institute to accomplish more for its patients and their families while planning for the future.
  • Benacerraf Society, named in honor of the late Institute President Emeritus and Nobel Prize winner Baruj Benacerraf, MD (1980-1992), recognizes the outstanding contributions of Dana-Farber’s visionary supporters whose single commitments of $100,000–$999,999 strengthen the Institute’s mission. Members enjoy a five-year term.
  • The Founders Society recognizes our steadfast supporters whose total lifetime giving has reached $1 million or more in support of our mission.
  • Aesclepian Society recognizes our most generous and loyal supporters of Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund: those who have made single commitments of $1 million or more and, thus, continue to shape the future of the Institute.
