Palliative Care
Palliative care is available to patients at any stage of illness, and is focused on helping patients find relief from pain, symptoms, and the stress that can come with a serious illness. In early stages of cancer treatment, palliative care can help make medical treatments more tolerable. At later stages, it can reduce suffering, help patients carry on in daily life, assist with planning future medical care, and provide support for living with a life-threatening illness. Our palliative care team has specialized training in pain management, symptom control, supportive counseling, and advanced care planning and works with your entire care team to support you and your family.
Survivorship
Experts work with cancer survivors to develop personalized care plans to help them and their healthcare providers address unique medical and psychosocial needs, identify needed screening tests, and manage potential long-term or late effects of treatment.
Support Services
Reflecting our commitment to treating the "whole patient," the Center offers a range of support services to cancer patients and their families, including:
Nutrition Guidance
Balanced nutrition is an important part of cancer treatment and survivorship. Our registered dietitian works with patients to design a healthful diet that can help rebuild the body's cells, improve energy level, and manage the side effects of treatment.
Spiritual Support
A chaplain is available to offer spiritual counseling and comfort to patients and families.
