Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has been named by Newsweek as one of the world’s best cancer hospitals, in the magazine’s 2023 rankings for the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals. Dana-Farber was ranked #4 globally—the only hospital in New England to be ranked in the top 13 for oncology.

This year, the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals honors the top facilities internationally across eleven specialties, including cardiology, pediatrics, and oncology.

“We are honored by this distinction that recognizes Dana-Farber as one of the world’s best oncology institutions,” said Laurie H. Glimcher, MD, president and CEO, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. “This is a testament to our faculty, caregivers, and everyone at Dana-Farber who are deeply committed to our patients and their families, and who unrelentingly pursue our mission to advance the understanding of cancer and develop new therapies for this devastating disease.”

Newsweek partnered with global research firm Statista to rank the world’s top specialized hospitals. The 2023 World’s Best Specialized Hospitals is based on a global survey of medical professionals.
