About the Zakim Center
The Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and Healthy Living is dedicated to the belief that cancer patients can improve their lives with integrative therapies like acupuncture and massage, along with healthy living programs such as exercise and nutrition counseling.
Our clinical services and group programs are led by physicians, therapists, nurses, and other health care professionals who empower patients to take an active role in their treatment plans. This integrative approach can help patients feel better by reducing the pain, stress, and anxiety caused by cancer and its treatment.
Named after cancer patient and activist Leonard P. Zakim, the Center offers individual treatments including acupuncture, massage, and Reiki, as well as group activities such as movement, meditation, and creative arts. Patients can also take advantage of our integrative medicine consultations. All Dana-Farber patients are eligible to access these one-on-one offerings and free group classes.
