Location and Hours
The Zakim Center is located on the 1st floor of Dana-Farber's Dana/Shields Warren building (SW-140). We are open as follows:
- Monday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Closed on Dana-Farber holidays

Because we know that unforeseen medical situations and other interruptions can occur, we try to remain flexible. Your health and safety are very important to us. If you aren't well enough to receive treatment at the Zakim Center, we will gladly reschedule your appointment. To make changes to, or cancel, an appointment, please call 617-632-3322.

Costs and Insurance
The mission of the Zakim Center is to make integrative therapies available and affordable for all Dana-Farber patients. Some services can be billed to health insurers, and others are offered at a reduced rate. Additionally, all group classes are free of charge. For any services that involve a charge, we will provide you with a receipt that you may submit to your insurance company if you wish to seek reimbursement.
Please be aware that Dana-Farber does not have contracts with insurance payers to provide coverage for or bill insurance for acupuncture or massage services received at the Zakim Center. Payment for these services is the patient’s responsibility and is due prior to the appointment.
Depending on your individual insurance plan, services received and paid for at the Zakim Center may or may not qualify for reimbursement. Because coverage varies by payer and plan, Dana-Farber and the Zakim Center are not able to determine whether these services are covered under your benefits.
We encourage patients to contact their insurance provider directly to confirm coverage and to ask about any reimbursement options that may be available. Please note that reimbursement cannot be guaranteed, and Dana-Farber and the Zakim Center are not responsible for claims that are denied by insurance payers.
In addition, refunds cannot be issued by Dana-Farber or the Zakim Center for reimbursement claims that are denied.
