Parking or dropping off a patient
You can enter Dana-Farber's parking garage to self-park, valet park, or drop off a patient. You will not be charged for parking if you are only dropping someone off and then leaving.
Take a ticket from the automated machine as you enter the parking garage. Keep this ticket with you, because you will need to have it validated when you check in for your appointment. You will also need it when you pay for parking (or when you exit the
garage at no charge after dropping off a patient).
After you enter the parking ramp, turn right if you want to use valet parking or drop someone off. Turn left to self-park. There is no additional charge for valet parking.
Please Use the Parking Garage to Drop Off or Pick Up a Patient
When you drive a patient to an appointment at Dana-Farber, please enter Dana-Farber’s parking garage on Jimmy Fund Way and go to level P1. As mentioned above, you will not be charged any parking fees for dropping off or picking up, and we have staff on
level P1 to help patients safely get to their appointments.
Entering Dana-Farber’s parking garage to drop off and pick up reduces traffic backups on Jimmy Fund Way, improves traffic flow on Brookline Ave., and ensures a safe location where patients can get in and out of vehicles. It typically takes just a few
minutes to enter and exit the garage when picking up or dropping off.
Parking rates for patients
Dana-Farber parking garage rates for patients are:
- Up to 1 hour: Complimentary
- 1 – 1.5 hours: $7
- 1.5 – 2 hours: $8
- 2 – 3 hours: $10
- 3 – 24 hours: $12
If you have a financial hardship, please talk with your care coordinator about parking fees.
Getting your ticket validated
Bring your parking ticket with you to your clinic appointment. Staff there will validate your ticket so that you receive the patient parking rate.
If you forget to validate your parking ticket at your clinic, or if you are admitted to the Dana-Farber Inpatient Hospital (within Brigham and Women's Hospital), you can have your ticket validated by Security at the information desk on the first floor
of Dana-Farber's Yawkey Center for Cancer Care.
To receive the patient parking rate, your parking ticket must be validated before you pay at the self-pay parking kiosks or cashier.
Paying for parking
After you've had your parking ticket validated and you are ready to leave, you can pay for parking at these locations:
- Self-pay parking kiosks on floors 1, 2, and P2 in the Yawkey Center (kiosks are located near the parking elevators, accepting credit/debit cards only)
- Self-pay parking kiosk in the Jimmy Fund Clinic (on the third floor of the Dana building, accepting credit/debit cards only)
- Cashier in the waiting area on floor P1 in the Yawkey Center. The cashier accepts cash, checks, credit cards, and debit cards.
Be sure to keep your paid ticket. You will need it when you exit the garage.
Need help getting into the building?
If you need a wheelchair or other help getting into the building, parking attendants and security officers are available to help during clinic hours. Parking staff can also help with flat tires, dead batteries, and assistance with locating towing services.
If you have general questions about resources for people with disabilities or need an accommodation, call an ADA coordinator at Dana-Farber at 617-582-7100. If you have a hearing impairment, use the Massachusetts TDD/TTY relay line at 800-439-0183.
All lower floors of the Dana-Farber parking garage can accommodate most cars, trucks, and vans (with vehicle heights up to 6 feet 8 inches). If you have an oversized vehicle (up to 8 feet 2 inches), turn right at the bottom of the entrance ramp and ask
for assistance at the level P1 valet area. The height limit to enter the garage is 8 feet 2 inches.
