Charges and Your Financial Responsibility
The link at the bottom of this page will bring you to Dana-Farber's charges for medical services. Your financial responsibility will be specific to the deductible, co-pays, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximum liabilities of your insurance plan's (or plans') coverage.
If you need assistance to better understand your out-of-pocket financial responsibility, we recommend that you talk to your insurance company directly. Dana-Farber's Financial Counselors can assist you in preparing for this discussion. A Patient Billing Solutions Representative is available to you if you are concerned about paying your medical bills, including if you are interested in Dana-Farber's Patient Financial Assistance Policy. You can reach a Patient Billing Solutions Representative at 617-632-3795.
Your own charges and out-of-pocket expenses will depend on the actual patient care services provided by Dana-Farber. It is likely that you will receive more than one service during your appointment or admission, such as a physician visit and a lab service. Not all services performed or drawn within Dana-Farber locations are provided by and billed by Dana-Farber; these may be provided by other facilities or provider groups.
Drug charges at Dana-Farber reflect the individualized doses that take into consideration patients' age, height, weight, current clinical condition, co-morbidities, symptom management, and response to therapy. Medication charges may vary based on these factors.
Most charges are updated annually; charges may change throughout the year. Some diagnostic services do not include physician fees outside of Dana-Farber.
In accordance with Section 3202(b) of the CARES Act, Dana-Farber's patient pay price (i.e., cash price) for SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) diagnostic testing is $176.00.
