Clinical and Support Services
Our advanced clinical care and support services include:
Hematology/Oncology
Medical oncology and hematology care and outpatient infusion are provided by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Infusion services include chemotherapy, as well as additional medications and treatments (such as hydration). Patients can receive their infusion in private or semi-private "bays," depending on their preference on a particular day.
Genetic Counseling
The genetic counseling program can help guide a personalized approach to treatment and identify a patient's risk of developing other cancers. Our team can also help individuals with a family history of cancer assess their cancer risk.
Survivorship
At the Adult Survivorship Program at Dana-Farber/NHOH, experts work with survivors to develop a personalized care plan. This plan helps survivors and their healthcare providers address their unique medical and psychosocial needs, identify needed screening tests, and manage potential long-term or late effects of treatment.
Dana-Farber/NHOH also offers a number of online resources to help you address the range of issues you may face after treatment, including the changes in the body after cancer treatment: emotional and physical symptom management; legal rights concerning health care and employment; finding support groups; maintaining, repairing, or enhancing personal relationships, and pursuing appropriate follow-up care.
Second Opinion Clinics
Dana-Farber/NHOH offers monthly second opinion clinics in Londonderry for patients seeking additional discussion of their diagnosis or treatment plan.
Clinical Trials
Patients have access to clinical trials through Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, a nationally designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and one of the largest cancer research programs in the nation. We encourage patients to speak with their health care team about clinical trial opportunities.
Nutrition Counseling
Balanced nutrition is an important part of cancer treatment and survivorship. Our registered dietitian works with patients to design a healthful diet that can help rebuild a body's cells and energy level, and manage the side effects of treatment.
Integrative Therapies
Integrative therapies, such as therapeutic touch and Reiki, are available to help alleviate symptoms or side effects from treatment.
The Resource Area offers a variety of materials on cancer topics, including free informational brochures and books you can borrow.
Social Work
Our oncology social worker can help patients and families cope with the emotional aspects of cancer treatment as well as practical issues. We can help identify community resources such as support groups, transportation and financial assistance programs, and disability benefits.
Financial Services
Our financial counselor helps explain billing policies, determine eligibility for insurance of financial assistance, and contact insurance carriers and other providers on your behalf.
Spiritual Care
Spirituality or faith may be a source of strength or comfort while undergoing treatment. A designated chaplain serves as part of your care team and is available to offer support and guidance during cancer treatment.

Our team of cancer specialists and hematologists works closely to provide seamless care for each patient.
