    Our team of breast cancer experts at the Susan F. Smith Center for Women's Cancers Breast Oncology Program includes breast cancer surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists who have pioneered the most effective techniques in breast cancer treatment.

    Young and Strong Program for Young Adults with Breast Cancer

    Young adults (in their early 40s and younger) with breast cancer face challenges unique to their stage of life. Combining treatment, research, and specialized support services, our Young and Strong Program for Young Adults with Breast Cancer is one of the few programs in the country designed to meet the needs of young adults facing a breast cancer diagnosis.

    Metastatic Breast Cancer Program

    Treating patients with metastatic breast cancer is a significant part of our practice. Through our dedicated Metastatic Breast Cancer Program, led by Nancy Lin, MD, our doctors, nurses, research staff, social workers, and others provide the latest care options, opportunities for clinical trials, and support.

    Breast and Ovarian Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program

    If you or your doctor thinks you are at high risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer, the Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program, led by Judy Garber, MD, MPH, will create a personalized program to estimate your risk, and work with you and your clinical team to lower your risk as much as possible.

    Inflammatory Breast Cancer Program

    A team of experts, led by Filipa Lynce, MD, specializes in treating inflammatory breast cancer, a rare but aggressive form of breast cancer. Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Hospital Cancer Center hosts the only program in the Northeast focused solely on IBC.

    Breast Cancer During Pregnancy Program

    Every year in the United States, one in 3,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during pregnancy. Our clinicians at the Breast Cancer during Pregnancy Program are leaders in achieving healthy outcomes for pregnant women with breast cancer and their babies.

    Program for Older Adults with Breast Cancer

    Breast cancer is most common in adults older than 70 years, but this group is underrepresented in clinical research, and its unique needs are not well understood. Our program aims to change that and improve care for older adults with breast cancer by better understanding the specific needs and concerns of these patients and their loved ones.

    Program for Patients with Breast Cancer Brain Metastases

    The Program for Patients with Breast Cancer Brain Metastases specializes in the treatment of patients with breast cancer that has spread to the brain. Our multidisciplinary team of internationally recognized experts includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, neuroradiologists, and pathologists, who work together to provide the highest level of care.

    Program for Breast Cancer in Men

    Breast cancer is often thought of as a disease that affects only women, but men can be diagnosed with breast cancer, too. Through our Program for Breast Cancer in Men, we offer care that is dedicated to the unique needs of men. Our specialists will work with you to develop a treatment plan that supports your medical and emotional needs.

    Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) Program

    Our DCIS Program is the only program in the Northeast dedicated to DCIS, combining clinical care with in-depth research and educational resources to provide individualized care for each patient's unique situation. Our team includes breast cancer surgeons, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists with specific expertise in DCIS, as well as dedicated physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
