Bill Lotter, PhD

Bill Lotter, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. He was previously the CTO & Co-Founder of DeepHealth Inc. (acquired by RadNet Inc.), where he led the development and large-scale deployment of FDA-cleared products that use AI to assist in mammogram interpretation. Bill holds a PhD in Biophysics from Harvard University and his AI experience additionally spans the domains of neuroscience, finance, and sports analytics in the NFL.

Research

    Artificial Intelligence for Medical Imaging

    Dr. Lotter’s research has two core aims: 1) developing more robust computer vision algorithms using insights from human vision, and 2) optimizing these algorithms for medical imaging to deliver real-world impact. He aims to realize this impact through collaborative research along the full clinical application pipeline - from algorithm development to the science of clinical integration itself.
